MISSION

 

The mission of the Su Xiaobai Foundation’s is the advancement and public understanding of the visual arts.

 

The core activities of the Foundation are to preserve, promote, and interpret Su Xiaobai’s art and archives, and to support arts initiatives with a focus on those related to Su Xiaobai’s vision and craft.

 

ACTIVITIES

 

  1. Maintain a collection of work by Su Xiaobai in California.

  2. Encourage public exhibitions of work by Su Xiaobai in the United States and globally.

  3. Encourage critical writing on Su Xiaobai.

  4. Produce a Catalogue Raisonné of Su Xiaobai’s work.

  5. Maintain and organize Su Xiaobai’s archive for future public research, scholarship, and arts education.

  6. Preserving Su Xiaobai’s legacy through exhibitions, research, scholarship, arts education, conservation, publications.

  7. Foster collaborations with other 501c3 arts and educational institutions.

  8. Award grants to artists, art historians, art writers, curators, seminars, conferences, and publications.

  9. Maintain a residency program for artists, art historians, art writers, curators, art conservators, and scholars.

  10. Award grants to 501c3 organizations that contribute to the advancement of the visual arts related to Su Xiaobai’s vision.

  11. Create and maintain a website accessible to the public.

  12. Su Xiaobai Foundation may in the future maintain an exhibition space in California open to the public by reservation.

  13. Su Xiaobai Foundation will enhance and adapt its program and activities in relation to technical advances, in the interest of broadening public understanding and access to the visual arts and Su Xiaobai’s art, archives, and legacy.
